Hot rollers are a wonderful invention! When I was in high school, it took me hours to set my hair in rollers (sometimes on empty frozen orange juice cans) and then sit under the dryer. Now I just roll up my hair in hot rollers, wait ten minutes-and I'm done. How do they work? Each roller contai ns a waxl ike substance in the center that becomes heated and retains the heat long enough to curl the hair. Using hot rollers on dry hair produces terrific bounce and curl. Some hints on using hot rollers:

. Use end papers whenever you can to prevent the ends of your hai r from spl itting. . Remember the size of the roller will determine the size of your curl, and that the longer you keep the curlers in, the tighter the curl will be.

. When you remove the rollers, don't pull, or the hair will tangle and break. . Make sure the rollers are cool before you take them out (this will give you a better set).
